Name Randy Thiverage
Nickname Swede
Uniform # 13
Team Michigan Lawmen
Agency Westland Police Dept.
Assignment Patrol
PS.com Nick BADPIG

Nickname: "Swede" (from the movie "Heartbreak Ridge").

Sports Background:
Played football and baseball ever since I was 8 yrs old. Gave up baseball later in high school to gear all my efforts towards football. Ran track to help improve my speed. Played QB in high school. Played college football at Eastern Michigan. Played TE in college. Started getting serious in college about powerlifting. I still weight train 5-6 days every week.

Softball History:
Started playing softball for fun while still in high school. Didn't get serious about softball for several years. Started playing police ball in '97 with Wayne/Oakland. Played "AA" ball for the Texans out of Houston for 3 yrs and "A" ball for Northwest Pipe for 2 yrs.

Past Police Teams:
Wayne/Oakland (97-00), Detroit PD (01-02)

Proudest Moment in Police Softball:
There are so many but I would say winning the Gold medal in the Las Vegas Games.

Lowest Moment:
Dayton 2006.... Enough said.

My Game:
Power hitting and speed. Most people don't realize how fast I can run at 280 lbs. I enjoy beating out an infield hit when the infielder takes his time and then its too late. Or turning a single into a double when the outfield falls asleep and doesn't hustle.

Future Goals: To keep playing this game as long as I can. And to hopefully get the WS moved up earlier in the year because it keeps interupting my hunting season.

My Motto:
BIGGER, FASTER, STRONGER. GO HEAVY OR GO HOME. Train harder, longer and more intense than your competition, because if you don't he will kick your A$$ when you meet.
