Sports background:
Played high school baseball and football, but got caught drinking one night and was cut.
Softball History:
Started playing softball in 1985 and began tournament ball in 1986. Played with Pasadena Pack from 1992 to 1999. Began playing with HPOA team which eventually changed names to the Houston Stix until 2005. Coached the Houston Stix for one year until the team broke up. Began playing with Team Texas in 2007 to the present date. I have played mainly "D" class ball.
Past Police Teams:
Pasadena Pack
Houston Stix
Team Texas
Proudest Police Softball Moments:
This year when I was picked to play with the West Coast World Series All Star Team and we beat the East 20 to 6. At the age of 40 and the talent level where it is, it was an honor to be picked as one the All Stars.
Lowest Softball Moment:
The break of of the Houston Stix.
Future personal goals in Police Softball:
I would like to place in the top three of the bigger tournament's such as Dayton, Sterling Height's and the big one, The World Series!
Where do you see our sport in 5-10 years:
I would like to see it grow bigger and better. In Texas it has slowly fallen off.
MISC:
Win or lose, nothing will ever beat the brotherhood made at the tournaments, and the love between Police Officers around the United States that we share.
