Shamrock Enforcers NPSC champions!
The weather was hot, complex was nice, Miken bats were provided. Great opening ceremony, players party was off the charts. A new format was put in place to add new competition for the major teams. While still having a gold division championship as well. It's called a slugfest tourney. you have the top seeded major teams play each other for seeding 1-5. Then all the other teams are pre seeded in the open bracket with the major teams. They then play 2 and out tourney. After being eliminated the bottom 9 teams dropped to a gold division 2 and out tourney.
After the major teams played each other in round robin format for seeding. Ohio Lawman was crowned the # 1 seed, followed by # 2 seed was KY Blue, # 3 seed TBL, # 4 seed, Shamrocks, # 5 seed Missouri.
The open tourney was played out. There was some surprise teams in the final 6 standing. Dayton Metro and Metro Detroit Finest. Surprise team not there was powerhouse Missouri.
The finals winner bracket teams were Shamrocks vs KY Blue, That's were Shamrocks sent KY Blue to the losers bracket with walk off home run.
Losers bracket Ohio beat Dayton Metro, and TBL beat Metro Detroit. That set up match between Ohio and TBL were Ohio prevailed 19-14.
KY Blues then beat Ohio 15-4 to set up a rematch of the 2016 Championship game against Shamrocks.
In the Championship game the mighty Shamrocks were to much for KY Blue. Shamrocks got off to a fast start and didn't let up. Defeating KY Blues for second straight year to make them back to back champs. Congrats.
In the Gold Division Missouri defeated Midwest Heat 16-6 to set up a clash with the undefeated Metro Detroit Finest team that looked good all weekend. In the first game Missouri beat Detroit 13-1 to force the if game. In a classic championship game. Detroit was down 3 runs heading into the bottom of the 7th inning. That's when Detroit got hot. Hit after hit. After the dust settled. It was Metro Detroit Finest 17 Missouri 16. Making them the Gold 2017 Champs. Congrats.
