Starting in 2008, the PoliceSoftball.com/Boombah National Champion will also receive their picture on the home page of PoliceSoftball.com.

Teams will earn points based on their top 4 tournament finishes only so there is no negative penalty for playing in multiple tourneys. A bad showing cannot lower your score, it can only help you so whether you “got all your guys” or not, play away and see what happens. The points chase built in an aspect where teams would be encouraged to play more often. Thus the system will never penalize a team for laying it all on the line.

PoliceSoftball.com looked very hard at which tournaments to select to be part of the Boombah Points Chase. We took numerous things into consideration including venue, dates, geographical location, prestige, and history. We also looked at developing a tiered system based on these factors which will mean certain tournaments are worth more than others. The tiered system will not change during the year but may change from year to year based on how a specific tournament draws.

We have run several mock seasons with this formula and we believe that the results of the system will be a fair representation of the talent of teams involved.

NOTE: To be eligible for points, the tourneys must have a minimum of 12 Law Enforcement teams in the tournament. If not, the tournament will NOT be eligible for the Boombah Points Chase. In tournaments where a team wins a lower division, PoliceSoftball.com reserves the right to add an additional point to separate that team from other teams in the lower division. All teams involved in the Boombah Points Chase must follow the PoliceSoftball.com minimum eligibility standards to be eligible for points.
