The Ohio Player is one of the best athletes in our game
Butch with a perfect connection.
We have an apology to make. We accidentally omitted a player from our All-Dacade team. We have no excuse, it is clearly an error on our part. Although we do not have an excuse, we have a explanation. When we first started pouring over our history to come up with this team, our concept was to name a player of the decade. A list was made and then we scrapped that idea and went with an All-Decade team. As we transferred names one got lost in the shuffle and we did not catch it in our final list.
Butch Castor of THE Ohio Lawmen is that player. He began the decade as part of the Bluegrass Lawmen and played most of it for the Ohio Lawmen and helped them to be one of the elite teams of the decade. Butch is true multi tool player as he can field, throw, run exceptionally well and hit for power and average. Essentially his game has no weaknesses. If we were building a team from scratch, we would build it around a player the caliber of Butch.
Butch plays softball at a high level on the civilian circuit reaching the B Worlds with Watanabe in 2013.
Butch is also an outstanding athlete away from the ball field as the numbers he posts in his cross fit WODS will attest to. To top it off, he is a true class act on the field and in the clubhouse.
Butch, we sincerely apologize for this error on our part and we would like to give you a PoliceSoftball.com Dickie at the World Series. Please come by the booth and get it.
