Won B-flight in Va. Beach. *Awarded 1 extra point for winning B-Flight
In 2008:
In the last two years this team has finished 25th and 20th in the rankings. Each year this team seems to be better and more committed to putting a quality product on the field. While the team should be better, all teams have also gotten better and any improvement in rankings will be tough. This team made its first trip to the World Series last year and got a taste of the competition which can only help this team improve. This is a very active team having posted a 40-41 record in 2006 in all games played as a team. This team was also very active in 2007 and this much playing time can only help this team continue to improve. 2008 OUTLOOK: We don’t have too much specific information regarding Metro but this team is a valued team on the circuit and epitomizes police softball. If they can get out on the rankings circuit, this team can once again improve.
In 2006:
Good in JAX, need to play more and get serious. Rumor has they are combining with IPA for big tourneys next year.

| Summary |
Chicago Metro was formed in 1975 by now-pitcher Stu Hoskins. We have been together since under differnet names but one thing has stayed the same, Chicago Metro has been a staple in police softball for 30+ years

| Team Highlight |
|
From 1984-1987 Chicago Metro finished no less than third in Dayton each year with a runner-up national championship in 1985. Since then, we have had many ups & downs but our most recent successes would have to be a runner-up finish (Div. 2) in JAX in 2005 and beating the #3 team in the country (East Div.) in JAX 2006.

Our "transition" period from 1999-2004 was hard trying to find the right chemistry to make things work. Being asked to leave Dayton in 2005 or come up with enough players from one state or the other really took the wind out of our sails at the end of 2005.

Having fun & keep improving with each tournament we play in. We will no doubt still have our ups and downs but being competetive and making a name for ourselves is a #1 priority.
