Chris Enriquez has been one of the strongest defensive players in the west for some time now and this year he is having a great year for WestCoast Aftershock. Third base is referred to as the hot corner and for good reason. You dont see much style or flash from the position but what you do see are nerves of steel to square up on some of the strongest pull hitters in the game. The throw from thirdbase can be difficult and Chris makes it look effortless.
If you were to compare softball to the civilian work force the third baseman would be the blue collar worker who brings a lunch box to work everyday, punches his time card and does his job day in and day out. Chris Enriquez is blue collar worker on a team full of blue collar workers and this is why Aftershock is always a tough game. Chris is quiet and he lets his play on the field speak for itself. Because Chris doesnt brag on himself, we will do it for him. Chris, take an extra fifteen minutes for lunch and enjoy your much deserved award.
