Defending World Champs Win Battle of Badges
Great Lakes Lawmen take home the hardware in Cincy!
The Battle of the Badges took place after a great outing at the Red's game along with watching the Long Haul Bombers Show. Games got underway at River City Sports Complex located in Cincinnati across the river from Kentucky. Weather was great along with the balls and provided bats by Louisville Slugger, Z2000.
Bracket A, was won by Great Lakes. Bracket B was won by Steel City, after Chicago beat Capital City. Bracket C was won by Detroit's Finest in tie-breaker with Ohio Lawman Masters and Cincinnati PD. Bracket D was won by Greene County/Dayton PD. Two and Out Tourney got underway with Capital City beating Ohio Lawman Masters 18-17 on walk off grand slam by Big Vic. Bluegrass got past Greene County/Dayton 19-18. Chicago beat Cincinnati PD 15-9. OH-50 beat DC Enforcers 11-9. Detroit's Finest beat Detroit Metro 18-8. Louisville PD beat Miami Valley 17-14. 2nd round winner’s bracket games, Great Lakes defeated Capital City 31-19. Bluegrass defeated Chicago Metro 18-16. Detroit's Finest came back from 10 runs in the 5th to defeat OH-50, 26-25. Steel City rolled 17-2 over Louisville. Loser's bracket Detroit Metro defeated DC Enforcers 21-6 knocking out DC. Cincinnati PD defeated Greene County/Dayton 16-6 knocking Greene County/Dayton out of the tourney. 2nd round Loser's bracket games, Capital City defeated Detroit Metro 20-8 and Chicago defeated Miami Valley 26-22. OH-50 defeated Ohio Lawman Masters 19-8, and Cincinnati PD defeated Louisville 21-20. In winners bracket games Great Lakes Defeated Bluegrass 28-17, and Steel City defeated Detroit's Finest 22-17. 3rd round loser’s bracket games, Capital City defeated Chicago Metro 25-24 and Cincinnati PD defeated OH-50 in shocker 29-18. Winners Bracket Finals Great Lakes defeated Steel City 27-11. 4th round loser’s bracket games, Detroit's Finest defeated Capital City 15-0, and Bluegrass defeated Cincinnati PD 25-21. In final four match up Detroit's finest defeated Bluegrass 16-4. In the loser bracket finals, Detroit’s Finest defeated Steel City 17-16 in a thrilling 10 inning game. In the finals Great Lakes defeated Detroit’s Finest 27-26 in another thriller. MVP- Award-Pancake, Great Lakes, Offensive Player Award-Craig Cole, Detroit’s Finest, Defensive Player Award-Matt Tracey-Steel City. All Tourney Team, Derek Ward, Wax, Mike P, Chris, Great Lakes. Steel City, 4th- Bluegrass Lawman, 5th-Cincinnati Lawman, 6th-Capital City, 7th-OH-50, 8th-Ohio Lawman Masters, 9th-Chicago Metro, 10th-Louisville, 11th-Detriot Metro, 12th-Miami Valley, 13th-Greene County/Dayton PD, 14th-DC Enforcers.
