On Friday April 20th, Perry Flowers hosted the 1st Annual RPN/Nor-Cal Shockers Spring Bash in Manteca. Although it was only a one day tourney, 11 quality teams showed up on what turned out to be a beautiful day at the BLD ballpark. Prior to the start of the tournament, a heart felt moment of silence was held in memory of Stanislaus County Deputy Robert Paris, who was killed in the line of duty on April 12th in Modesto. A 50/50 cash prize and three other prizes were raffled off before the playoffs, including a Worth bat, 511 gift package, and a Scentsy Basket by Kelly Hart.
The Worth bat was won by Eric “300” Moltzen of the Choir Boys
The 511 package was won by Jimmy Sanders of Hardcor
The Scentsy basket was won by JJ of Alemeda’s Most Wanted (His wife loved it)
The $187 winner’s share of the 50/50 went to Jess Lopez of Showtime
All proceeds from the fundraising raffles went directly to the family of Deputy Paris. We thank all of the generous LEO brothers and sisters who dug deep into their pockets, even during these tough times, to help out one of our own. After all was said and done, $1,000 was raised for the Paris Family.

The B Flight Championship came down to the top seeded Mayhem against Team Torture. After two innings, Mayhem seemed to be cruising to victory, up big on Torture 20-0. But Coach Todd “Spotlight” Phillips, who always has something up his sleeve, gave his Team Torture a pep talk going into the 4th inning. Torture responded by scoring 17 runs in the 4th inning, on their way to a 22-21 victory over Mayhem. Chris “Meat” Oliver earned the B Flight MVP honors. B Flight All-Tourney standouts were Terry Barrows and Eddie Russell.

Mark Tolliver and Mark Jackson had their Hardcor boys firing on all cylinders this time, leaving no doubt and run ruling Showtime 25-11. Ryan Saucedo was named the Tournament MVP.
