The Heat are already confirmed to play in the Policesoftball.Com World Series this October in Las Vegas, Nevada. They also have the National Police Softball Championship in Dayton, Sterling Heights and Bacon Ball St. Louis on thier radar. When asked about the team, co-manager Mike Burgos said, "There isn't much to say about us except that most of our accomplishments were done individually with other teams. Numerous city, county and state championships were won with different non-police teams. We also have players that have played on junior college world series baseball teams. This is our first year playing as a police team. It has been my goal for a few years now and meeting co-manager Tommy Varebrook from Waukegan PD helped make that goal. We have players from Milwaukee, Racine, Cudahy, Brookfield, West Allis, and Waukegan(IL) PD. We also have Milw Co. and Waukesha Co. Sheriffs. Our police experience ranges from 1 year on to almost 20. Even though this is our first year playing together as a team, we all have known each other both on personal and professional levels, and played with and against each other for many years. So we are not strangers to each other. We are a bunch of fun guys that enjoy playing, winning, and having good times away from the job together.

We are preparing for the World Series by playing in as many local tourneys as well as a couple from the PS circuit. We are in it to win it, if you will, and look forward to making a name for ourselves, job locations, and for our fellow cops on the circuit. Some of us went down to Cincy in 2008 and played in the Ohio Lawmen sponsored tourney which not only proved to be a good experience and also alot of fun. The Lawmen were a great host and class act guys, as I'm sure everyone else on the circuuit is. We are looking forward to playing, meeting and socializing with everyone there."
