In C Flight the Seals and Butte Co battled in the in defeated game as Sac Probation and Antioch were quickly sent the the losers bracket. A gritty Antioch team was sent home by Sac Probation. The Seals made quick work of Butte Co, who sent Sac Probation packing. This set up a rematch between the Seals And Butte Co. The Seals continued their winning streak and took home the win.

Thank to the Seals for putting together two teams to compete this weekend. Great group of guys and lots of comrade and trash talking between the two teams. Fun to watch and compete against.

In B Flight Elite came out on fire hanging 40 on the Gladiators. The Seals beat the Warriors then were quickly sent down to the losers bracket by Most Wanted. Most Wanted and Elite continued their rivalry and Elite came out on top. Most Wanted went down to the losers bracket and defeated the Warriors to earn a rematch against Elite. Elite earned the right to be double dipped. Most Wanted didn't like the easy way so they came out and put up some monster numbers offensively to double dip Elite to take home the Championship.

Most Wanted was gassed as they played 6 back to back games but perseverance and determination prevailed. Congrats to Stix and his team as they always fight till the last pitch…..especially in Tahoe. Expect this team to once again make a run at the World Series.

In A Flight DEA and West Coast United were the clear cut favorites of the bracket. El Dorado, Cen Cal, and Degenerates were all sent to the losers bracket. Cali Force beat West Coast for a chance to play DEA. DEA bested Cali Force for a spot in the championship. Degenerates were sent home by El Dorado who quickly followed after a loss to West Coast. West Coat beat Cali Force to earn a rematch against DEA. DEA had to be double dipped if they were going to be defeated. The first game was back and forth at the start with West Coast getting the victory. The “if” game started with West Coast lighting up the scoreboard. DEA just couldn't get it going as West Coast took home the championship.

Congrats to John and his West Coast United team. They have been in so many late round brackets in Lake Tahoe but just couldn't come out on top. This year they couldn't be denied as they earned their first Lake Tahoe Classic Championship. Don’t sleep on West Coast during the World Series. They have a loaded roster to make a run on Championship Sunday.

Thank You to DEA and Cen Cal for putting together teams and making the trip to Lake Tahoe. Two top tier teams came up short handed roster wise and still competed and never complained a bit. No excuses! Always an Honor and Respect competing with them.

Thank You to all the teams that came to Lake Tahoe to make 2017 another success. Thank You to JB and Del of policesoftball.com for providing the Easton Bats once again this year.

To the teams that didn't make the trip, you need to put it on the schedule for 2018. No disrespect to any other tournaments but there truly isn't another venue like Lake Tahoe in the country. Bring your family out and spend the week on vacation. Lake Tahoe offers so many different recreational activities. Get the wife a Rumrunner at the Beacon and she will keep you coming back year after year.
