Max Elite Rolls Through Anne Arundel
Max Elite has had plenty of reasons to celebrate this season
The 40th annual lawmen classic went off with a little fight from the weather but as usual with a bang. Fridays party at Jimmy’s seafood was nothing less then perfect with the live music and amazing food and drinks.
We knew all week that the weather would be hanging over our head, but come Saturday morning the fields were perfect and there was softball to be played. Pool play got started at 9am and ended early afternoon leaving 3 undefeated teams. The upper and lower divisions were pre-determined and seeded as follows.
Upper
1. Maximum Elite
2. Mid Atlantic
3. Maryland Outlaws
4. Thin blue line
5. New York hounds
6. Nassau Blues

Lower
1. Lake county
2. Necessary Force
3. Maryland’s finest
4. Jersey shore lawmen
5. Metro Detroit’s Finest
6. Howard / Baltimore county
7. Capitol Police

Elimination started Saturday evening with some big games. In the upper Nassau over Maryland, and a short handed hounds over thin blue line. In the lower Detroit wins back to back to put the #1 seed lake county in the loser bracket setting the stage for a winner bracket final of Detroit and Maryland’s Finest. Sunday morning Detroit beats Maryland to then see them again in the championship. Where Detroit got the best of them again to successfully defend their title for the 3rd year in row!

Sunday in the upper Mid Atlantic started off with a comeback win against Maryland. They then beat Thin Blue Line to get to the Hounds. In a back and forth offensive battle the Hounds got the better of mid Atlantic to get back to Maximum Elite in the ship. In a high scoring game Maximum elite would win another championship on year while just continuing to destroy the softball.

A great weekend for softball with even better people, we thank everyone for coming out and continuing to support this event.
