Minnesota Lawmen
|
Latest Tournament Report:
Defending champs came up short but still finished in 3rd.
In 2008:
Last year the Lawmen from the North Star state added a couple of pieces and looked like the dominant team they were a few years ago. With plenty of tools to work with, the Lawmen didn’t add any significant pieces in the off season. This team tore through the Dayton field last year undefeated and showed that when they are playing at the top of their game, they are one of the elite teams in police softball. This year the Lawmen plan on playing in Dayton, Sterling and the World Series. If funds allow, the Lawmen may add an additional tournament to their slate. This team thrives on power and hard nosed softball and their #3 finish in the rankings show what this team can do when they play like they are capable of. 2008 OUTLOOK: Coached by Hall of Famer Mike Reuvers and led on the field by the nails style of play of Bobby Lambert, this team is primed for a run at #1.
In 2006:
Great group of veterans, played well in Dayton and the World Series but need to play more to climb in the rankings. Still a team nobody wants to face, but been a while since they have won a big tourney. 9th in the WS showed this team can still hang with the best in the nation.
