Outlaws

Latest Tournament Report:

In 2008:
The Outlaws will be rolling out in 2008 as known only as the Outlaws. Jimmy Sola from Torrance PD will be the manager and he will be helped out by Ethan Siddall (Inglewood PD) and big Gus Rubio (Hawthorne PD). You might know Jimmy from playing SS for the Cal-Quake on occasion including the 2007 World Series. Jimmy is a great glove and heady player. Gus Rubio played 3B for the SoCal Alliance in the 05 World Series and brings a great stick and confidence to the field every game. The Outlaws will be busy this year and plan on playing in 8 to 10 tournaments. Look for the Outlaws to have some old faces coupled with some new ones this year. This squad's roots can be traced back several years to the powerful South Bay Heat team that re-defined cop softball in California back in the day. They, along with the DEA Combo were among the original combo teams that were built to compete against the large agencies. In recent times the Outlaws have been known as giant killers, but they are now determined to dance with the heavyweights on a regular basis once again. Outlaw players recently participated in the Guns and Hoses Tournament of Champions and opened some eyes by slaying the US Navy Mil-Spec team. That showing was just further confirmation that the Outlaws can bang with the heavyweights. Look for the Outlaws to make a run at the Top 15 but it won’t come easy. 2008 OUTLOOK: This team is a team on the rise and will feed off of some positive energy. They will have nothing to lose this year and will be dangerous every tourney. Finding the right match of players with so many new faces can be difficult but it looks like the leaders of this team have done it right
In 2006:
As always this scrappy team played tough all year. In the small market world series, this team lost its first game but became warriors fighting back to force an “If” game against Sac Probation. The talk of a full time Hawthorne/Inglewood merge may not happen but if it does, look for this team to be a top 10 contender.

| How We Beat You |
We pride ourselves on strong defense and do not allow many cheap runs. If you are going to score against us you will need to earn it.
| How You Beat Us |
Like many teams if our sticks go cold we will have a difficult time competing against the better teams.
| Team Highlight |
Our team highlight is beating the LAPD Blue in 2004 in the A bracket playoffs. The Blue is an elite team and anytime you can send them home from a tourney is a proud moment.
| Team Lowlight |
Traveling to the Nevada games in 2004 and not making the playoffs after making the playoffs the year before.
| Goals |
To stop being a Jeckyl and Hyde team and bringing our best game every time we take the field.
