On April 2nd, 2013 a felony task force in Detroit was trying to apprehend a murder suspect when a shootout occurred during the takedown of the suspect. During the ensuing shootout, the suspect was killed but sadly, Officer Pat Hill, was seriously wounded. Pat fought bravely for six months but on October 19th, 2013 Pat passed away.
Pat was a true hero as he battled the worst of the worst in his assignment and he always ran towards the fight. Pat will forever be missed by his family, his teammates and his co-workers. Pat was a member of the Great Lakes Lawmen and won a World Series with them at World Series VII. World Series IX was dedicated to Pat and the series was played in his honor.
