His big bat and veteran leadership is exactly what the talented but youthful South Florida Lawmen need. Westfall is widely recognized as one of the top 10 all-around players in the nation. Westfall solidifies the middle infield and has a cannon of an arm. Although he is impressive on defense he really shines on offense and he is arguably the best opposite field hitter in police softball. Parnell assumed pitching duties for Jacksonville after the departure of the Godfather Tim Grundmann and he elevated his game to a new level. Parnell has big game experience and can lock down the middle. He is also a powerful home run hitter who will add pop to an already potent South Florida line-up.

Talent scouts have always said that South Florida squad was 2-3 players away from being one of the nations top teams and this move could fulfill that prophecy. The only question that remains is how quickly this team can gel and will they be able to pull it all together before the World Series in October.
