Suffolk County Team To Ride Again In 2008
by: Don Truesdell     Dec 01, 2007
The Suffolk County Police softball team is getting back on the Open Circuit after a little layoff. With the success of Suffolk's over-40 team and the desire to have Suffolk County compete in the open division again before its too late Suffolk is forming an Open team that will consist of members from Suffolk County PD; Suffolk County Corrections and Nassau County PD.
After enjoying our last few years of playing with NY Metro we thought it was time to start up a Suffolk County team again and add some new comers to keep the tradition of law enforcement softball alive in Suffolk. Its one that we hope will be carried on for years to come. We intend on starting our 2008 season in Jacksonville and ending it in Palm Springs with other tournaments in between. Our over 40 team will still be competing in their usual tournaments.

Our roster is in the process of being completed and have decided to go by either the Suffolk County or Long Island Lawmen. We will be sponsored as usual by the Suffolk County Police Memorial Fund as well as some local business'.

Policesoftball.com would like to wish Suffolk good luck in their return to the big arena in 2008!
