This Season Preview Series Was Brought To You By Easton Sports
This section concludes our 2010 season preview. We would like to thank all the teams that gave us info which allowed us to create a more comprehensive preview on the many changes that took place in the off season. Creating and posting the previews were a lot of work but it is something we truly enjoy and we sincerely hope they made the last few weeks a little more enjoyable and helped get everyone ready for the 2010 season. The 2010 season got a little kick off recently at the Brian Azelton tournament back east and it will kick off in earnest out west next week at the DEA Kick Off tournament. Good luck to all the teams in 2010 and most of all, stay safe as you encounter the wolves in our society who will not hesitate to do you harm.
AND THE REST
These teams did not provide us with any direct information but here is some of the things we have learned on the message board or by word of mouth. If we missed your team in the preview we apologize but we could only preview teams we had enough information on to include them in the story.

LAPD BLUE: Added veteran slugger Tim Morris as catcher and to anchor the middle of the line-up. Morris is a professional hitter and great teammate. He is a huge pick up for a team already loaded on the offensive side. The team also picked up Alliance player Robert “The Rock” Roque. This should be another great pick up for LAPD as the Rock can play any position. The Rock will give manager Todd Waymire a lot of flexibility in his line up and look for him and Tim Morris to help keep LAPD Blue among one of the top teams in the West. The team lost professional hitter Tim Poncy to Sin City and this could hurt this team when they are out of HRs but Tim and Rock can both keep it in the park.

LAPD LAWMEN: They faded toward the end of 2009 but intend on being very active in 2010. Not much known about their plans but history has shown this team will be there.

SOUTHBAY OUTLAWS: Folded

STATE RAZED: Lost a couple players to the upstart Quit Resisting team, but replaced them with what they feel will be top caliber players. SR picked up Direct Impact outfielder Casey Webber and Pat patterson Will once again host one of the best new tournaments in California, the State Razed Classic in Hanford, Ca.

DEA COMBO: We should expect to see more of the same of what they brought in 2009. Great young team, solid leadership, and a well balanced line-up. They only had pitcher Gabe Rodriguez for one tournament last season before he was injured. Word is Gabe will be back, and with Gabe on the bump, opponents will find scoring runs against the Combo even more difficult.

CONCORD COMBO: Team manager Andy Domenicci should be a role model for other coaches. He is loyal to his team and his players. He passed over the opportunity to recruit some of the “sexy” free agents this past off-season and instead stayed loyal to the players who stood behind him all year. They did add a big ticket pitcher in Joe Mestres so that alone is a huge pickup.

JACKSONVILLE PSC: Steady as a rock, loaded with talent and planning on the usual tournament schedule. Considering doing Dayton/Tahoe on back to back weekends in July.
