Minnesota, Sin City and Warren County are now up
Today PoliceSoftball.com will continue its feature series which will show a "Season Preview" on some of the off-season moves made by teams. We cannot guarantee the accuracy of the moves listed but we are confident we will get it right many more times than we get it wrong. Not every team will be featured. Only teams that contacted us with their updates or teams that received a lot of press on their personnel moves on the message board will be previewed. If you would like your team previewed, please send us an e mail prior to the end of the series. On each preview we have listed the teams final 2009 ranking and we have assigned each team an unofficial theme song which we feel reflects that team in some way. We hope you enjoy the work on this and we will be seeing you all soon at the fields.
MINNESOTA LAWMEN
2009 Rank: 5
We know they added a rookie phenom but other than that there has not been a ton of activity in the Minnesota camp. But why would there be since there is no need. Minnesota is one of the most stable franchises on the circuit. They are essentially drama free. You never hear about in-fighting or any other of the usual drama that is common now on the circuit. That is probably why this team is widely considered the most respected team in the game. It seems nobody roots against Minnesota (unless they are playing against them). 2010 should be more of the same AND they have kicked it up to a new level by hosting the first ever Minnesota BBall tournament. It has the makings to be an instant success as the date/location are perfect. It is already proven to be well coordinated and the tourney directors are outstanding at communicating with the participating teams. Minnesota is a hot-bed for softball during the spring/summer so you can already pencil this one is a can’t miss event. 2010 Theme Song: “Don’t Change” by INXS

SIN CITY COMBO
2009 Rank: 6T
This team dominated the defending WS Champs SoCal Alliance and sent them packing in the 09 World Series. If you don’t think they are for real you have another thing coming. The team will be spearheaded by 2010 WCPOY front runner Keith Habig (you read it here first). But he isn’t the only gem in their jewel box. New addition and former LAPD Blue catcher Tim Poncy is a professional hitter. Coach Paul Howard is stepping down as coach due to his son starting Little League. Paul will still be playing infield for Sin City. New coaches Noel Roberts, Anthony "A.D." DiMauro, and George DeSantiago are going to continue to build from what Paul started. Sin City held a news conference at the "Rhino" to announce the signing of former Vegas Heat outfielder Dave Denton. Dave played with the Heat for 4 years. Dave can now commit full time to travel. Even with the already speedy Sin City outfield, Dave would be the fastest of them all with a strong arm. Also Ray Steiber, Sin City's 2008 shortstop will be returning for 2010. 2010 Theme Song: “Remember the Name” by Fort Minor

WARREN COUNTY LAWMEN:
2009 Rank: Unranked
The Warren County Lawmen are a small market team but they do not shy away fro playing in the circuit when they can. In 2009 they saw action at the Dayton, Cincinnati and Sterling tournaments and enjoyed every minute of it. In 2010 they are trying to add Chicago to this list. With the experience gained from competing on the circuit last year they look to win some games this year and maybe surprise some people by beating some of the big boys. 2010 Theme Song: "Gonna Fly Now" (From the movie Rocky)
