Concord/OSS Leads the Second Wave of the West People's Poll
This installment of the People's Poll showed there are a lot of questions. This wave of the People's Poll had a lot of first year teams and/or a lot of teams that may be going through a rebuilding phase. First off will the new look Concord team be able to break into the top 10 for 2009? Will the new CenCal team be as strong as the first year Aftershock were last year? Will the new BP Elite team live up to the hype? Will the Razorbacks have the breakout year people have been waiting for? Will the SD Force and LAPD Lawmen play like they are capable of? Will Stanislaus continue to ride their momentum of 2008? PS.com feels this grouping of 11-21 is bound to start changing as the season gets under way and expect to see some of these teams on people's top 10 list very soon!
11) Concord OSS: This team lost some major key components but retooled very nicely. Will still score many runs on you with Meat, Todd, and their Direct Impact pick-up will be huge. If they get someone on the Hill to replace what they had, they could be a top 5 team again! New leadership will continue the Legacy of Concord Softball without missing a beat! Lost a lot of old school players from a very good squad. Andy Domenici is putting it all together. The addition of Chris Oliver will help in the power department, but will the old Concord Chemistry show up? Only time will tell with this squad. With the veteran core of guys, Andy at the helm, and the additions of a few new guys, look for these guys to get their gel on and be as competitive as they always have been. This team could be really good or this could be a transition year. Time will tell.

12) Central Cal-Syndicate: Like the BP Elite, this team could surprise people. Will need some luck to be a top 10 team in the end. Who are these guys? Is Big Frank gonna pull off the switch. If he added enough parts this team can be very dangerous!! This team is this years Aftershock. Lots of buzz.

13) State Razed. It will be interesting to see how this team will fair without Mestress. Russ Villalba is a serious guy. This team can be for real on occasion, but can Russ inspire them to stay on top for all of this years action? Might miss the vocal leadership. Even though they lost Joe they are way too solid not be competitive. I personally love playing these guys because I know it will be a battle everytime!

14) BP Elite: A new team with bold intentions. Could be the surprise team of 2009. This team could make a huge splash and move up quickly. Can they gel in time to put together a big run? They have some talent, but can they pull off the chemistry?

15) Sac. Razorbacks: Seems like a lot of coming and going on this team. The turnover could spell disaster in 2009. This team lost a lot of players, but may gain some chemistry. They are going back to their roots, and only time will tell if the Buccer can pull it off. If Chili Palmer and Jimmy Mac play in more tourneys, this may be the best outfield around. Greg Saunders and the Buccer will try to get this squad out to play! As long as they get committment they will be fine. A great group of young talent. I still have a lot friends on this team. For me not to put them in the top 15 because of 1 would be a mistake.

16) TEAM Texas: Always a chance this team will win a tourney. If this team played more, they would be a top 5 team. This team always represents the West at the Series and would be a top 5 team if they played more on the circuit.

17) CHP Choir Boys: Always solid performers. This team will find a way to come out and compete. Did they find some diamonds in the rough to add to their squad? If they did, they will certainly move up the ladder!

18) Direct Impact: This team always played the Quake tough. Will be interesting to see what they can do in 2009. Did they lose too much in the off-season? Don't know, but they have a good squad if they can replace the missing pieces! They have lost a couple of key players but have seemed to pick up just as many. From what I have read on the board the guys will still be rolling strong.

19) Stanislaus/Magnum: Anthony and the boys may have lost some players, but if they can replace them and keep the great chemistry they have always had, this David will slay a few Goliaths!Even though they lost Chad/Mitch they have some great talent. They have also picked up some new blood to go with the veterans. Another team that has to find their identity, once they do they will be just fine.

20) San Diego Excessive Force: A couple of years ago this team was a top 5 team. What happened? Chuy will attempt to get this squad back to the top of the West Rankings. When together for a tournament, these guys can play with anyone. When the aren't, well the B-Flight is where they have to settle.

21) LAPD Lawmen: This team has the goods to make a strong run in 2009. Can they keep the ball rolling or will they ride the roller-coaster again this year? Way too much talent to play in the B-flight, but for some reason they are up and down.
