The Police Softball HOF nomination period is now closed for 2008
by: PoliceSoftball.com     May 01, 2008
The Hall of Fame nomination period ended May 1st and now the nominees names will go to a committee to be considered for the 2008 Class of the Police Softball Hall of Fame. To see a list of all the nominees and a snapshot of their accomplishments, please go to the Hall of Fame nomination section on PoliceSoftball.com. Over the next week, we are asking everyone who has thoughts on the Hall of Fame to contact one or more of the committee members and voice their opinions. Once input has been received, the committee members will vote on the 2008 class of the Police Softball Hall of Fame.
The committees for both the East and the West are very diverse and should represent the country well. The following people have been named to the 2008 HOF Committee:

EAST COAST HOF COMMITTEE

Chairman Dennis Leonard – JPSC – HOF Member
Terry Ables – Central Ohio Lawmen
Dave Woolf – Dayton – HOF Member
Richie Malek – NY Metro – HOF Member
Andy Wurm – Wayne Oakland – HOF Member
Richie Ware – NYPD
Dan Spinelli – NYPD Blues
Terry Dugan – Virginia Beach – HOF Member
Mike McDowell – Michigan Lawmen – HOF Member
Robbie Freitas – JPSC
James Roepken - Dayton Masters / Central Ohio – HOF

WEST COAST HOF COMMITTEE

Chairman Anthony Costanzo - Sacramento Razorbacks
Skip Stephenson - SoCal Alliance - HOF Member
Carl Gaskins - Concord Police Combo
Steve Margetts - San Diego Grey - HOF Member
Darin Reis - San Diego Grey - HOF Member
Keith Benjamin - California Quake
Derwin Longmire - California Quake
Dave Clark - Arizona Softball Whores
Danny Ornelas - DEA Combo
Larry Jones - DEA Combo
Joe Castillo - San Diego Excessive Force

The Hall of Fame is our chance to honor our own and recognize significant contributions to our sport. Hopefully everyone who wants to get involved will speak to a committee member and have their voice heard on the selection process. We expect the HOF Announcement will be made in in June or early July at the latest.

Good luck to all the nominees!!! Whether you are inducted or not, the mere fact you were nominated means you have made an impact on our game.
