Today we will start the process of naming the PoliceSoftball.com yearly award winners. Over the next few weeks we will name the sponsors, managers, sportsmen, defensive and player of the year awards. All award winners will be recognized at World Series VII in Las vegas Nevada on October 14th. at the renowned Big League Dreams facility. To start off the 2011 awards, we would like to recognize our West Coast Sponsor of the Year, Ancon Marine which is owned by Troy and Bret Hardin.
Ancon Marine sponsors the new West Coast PSC team. The generosity of Ancon has allowed West Coast PSC to be outfitted with high quality uniforms and the team has been able to attend many of the big California and Nevada tournaments.
A key ingredient to the success or failure of a new team is often based on the involvement of the sponsor. In a short time, West Coast PSC has accomplished what many teams took many years to achieve or, are still striving for. West Coast PSC has already cracked the West Top 10 rankings and they compete in the Major/Upper level of every tournament they enter. Team accomplishments include winning the Cathedral City POA tournament championship in May and earning a bronze medal in the 32 team Las Vegas Police and Fire Games.
