In the David Championship game, wind blowing in, an open field and two great pitching performances, led to a 1-1 tie after 7 innings. The game went to extra innings and the Torrance PD team managed by Ron Connor showed a lot of heart to win it 3-2. The game was one of the most exciting games of the entire day as both teams gave every ounce of effort they had to claim the title of David division champions.
In the Goliath portion of the event, LASD Red featuring several original team members went 2-1, RSD went 1-2, SBSD went 0-3 and LAPD team managed by Nate Baez went 3-0 to win the Goliath division. Due to work schedules, LAPD had to leave after winning their division so LASD stepped up to play Torrance PD.
In the David vs. Goliath game, Torrance PD jumped out to a lead and never looked back as they slayed Goliath (LASD) 10-3.
