Our Sportsman of the Year award is a very special award because it says as much about the man as it does the player. Andy Domenici epitomizes this award because he is truly an ambassador for our sport and a true friend to every officer in need.
Andy will many times be seen traveling on “Team USA” teams because of his love for the sport and his love with meeting new friends. When Andy’s friend and co-worker Brad Moody was killed on duty, Andy spearheaded efforts to remember his friend and now runs the Brad Moody tournament.
Andy is a power hitting first basemen who has frequently been recruited to play on other high caliber teams but remains loyal to his Concord team and teammates. Andy is a true professional and gentlemen on and off the field and we are very proud to name him as our 2010 West Coast Sportsman of the Year.
