San Antonio found its groove after falling to Alexandria PD pulling off 6 straight wins to capture the title! San Antonio May have been caught off guard as Alexandria was led by 4 current members of Team Louisiana who decided to play with their department team. In their first encounter, San Antonio held off Team Louisiana for a 3 run victory. Team Louisiana then went on a rampage defeating Alexandria PD and several Fire Dept. teams along the way! When the dust cleared the 2 best teams were looking at each other across the diamond for a winner take all game! The second meeting was a good one early until San Antonio picked up the pace and secured the Championship! Special Olympics of Louisiana sends a special thanks to San Antonio for making the trip and helping raise money for a great cause! Team Louisiana was last years Champion and felt it was an honor to play host to San Antonio and give up the title to a team filled with such a high level of class and sportsmanship! Police Softball was definitely represented well.
